Spain's national weather agency, AEMET, issued a Red rain warning (Aviso Rojo) for Este de La Palma in the Canary Islands. The warning ran from 01:00 UTC to 05:59 UTC on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, and cited one-hour accumulated rainfall of 62 millimeters.

The bulletin reached readers through MeteoAlarm, the European weather-warning relay that carries AEMET's bulletins. MeteoAlarm's record names the warning an "Extreme rain warning" and lists it at awareness level 4, red, which the record labels "Extreme."

AEMET's own caution reads: "Take precautionary action, remain vigilant and act on advice given by authorities. Keep up to date with the latest weather forecast. Only travel if your journey is essential. Extreme or catastrophic damages to people and properties may occur, especially to those vulnerable or in exposed areas."
