MeteoAlarm, the European weather-alert network, raised its alert for Greece's East Sterea & Evvoia region to Red, its highest awareness level, after issuing Red Thunderstorm and Red Rain warnings for the area beginning at 11:12 UTC on Oct. 13, 2026.

The Red alert follows an Orange-tier Severe Wind warning MeteoAlarm issued earlier the same day for five regions of Greece, including East Sterea & Evvoia, before the storm system intensified.

The warnings are in force from 13:00 to 21:00 UTC that day, covering the thunderstorms and heavy rain through the evening. A second set of Red Thunderstorm and Red Rain warnings extends the alert through the following night, from 21:00 UTC to 12:00 UTC on Oct. 14, 2026.
